Busy Bees

We had a very eventful weekend, Phillip had to work because some soldier decided to go 17 miles over the speed limit so everyone was required to work all weekend in their dress uniform (ridic. huh) so that was crummy but the girls and I still had a great weekend :)
Saturday we went to Monkey Joes with April, Angelina and Anthony. Riley and Angelina have so much fun together. They ran and laughed the whole time, they would get to the top of the slides and count to three and zoom down them holding each other hands ... it really was so cute! I am glad that Riley is beginning to come out of her shell, I was starting to get worried that she would forever be that shy girl in the back of the room ;) After we went to Monkey Joes we headed over to Sams Club to eat some pizza for lunch and walked around a little bit. I love the shopping carts there because you can have two kids sitting in the front at the same time so Riley and Lina had a blast sitting up there and eating goldfish (yes RIGHT after we got done earing ... they ATE MORE ha!). There are also some super cute dresses there that I want to go back and get for Riley and Presley (if they have her size) for Easter!! Thats about all that went on Saturday and then Sunday we had a little birthday party to go to, they had a bounce house there and Riley just jumped and jumped and jumped ... the only thing that made her stop jumping was ::drum roll please:: CAAAAAKKKEEEE (are you surprised??) ha!
Presley had a fun weekend too consisting of a lot of eating and saying, "MORE" :) She actually says it more like ... "Mo ... Mo ... Mo" lol but we know what she is meaning. She would not be a child of mine if one of her first words didn't have to do with food (Riley's first "real word" was "more" as well and she said it when we were on the plane coming to Ga from Germany during Thanksgiving '09 and I was feeding her baby food)
Presley has also started actually holding her sippy cup and drinking out of it at the same time ... I am thinking its almost time to say "bye bye" to bottles for good and get her solely on a cup ... ahhhh that will be nice because I DO NOT like washing bottles!
Well I have an appointment early tomorrow morning to get allergy shots so I need to get to bed so I can actually get there on time for once!

Happy Hump Day

Today was an exciting day =) I didn't have any fruit baby food for Presley and she wasn't feeling the squash for breakfast so I decided to give her a nutri grain bar and holy cow she scarfed it down ha! She is getting really good at the chewing motion which is helping me to become less paranoid about choking! We went to story time after where Riley inched a little more out of her shell. She is exactly like her dad, very shy and stand offish and it takes A LOT for her to act herself around people. We have been going to story time for a few months now and this is the first week she actually full on danced to the songs =)
Presley loved the music and watching all the kids dance, she just smiled and smiled the whole time.
Riley is into dressing herself now ... She just recently realized she could stand on her stool and pull down the sleeves on her shirts to get them down. Needless to say she changes every 5 minutes now and today I told her I wasn't changing her again that what she had on was fine and she said, "but mom I want to look pretty" ha! It is seriously never a dull moment when she is around!
An exciting thing about Presley ... Tonight I had her laying on my bed with her head on a pillow and she sat up completely unassisted ... Talk about some baby ab muscles!
Riley helped make a new meal tonight and I think there was more flour on her than on the dough!

Sick Baby

Okay so I am ALREADY behind on my blog posts haha! Yesterday was a boring day :) we just went grocery shopping and hung out at home. Actually I take it back ... Yesterday something very DIFFERENT happened ... I didn't go grocery shopping by my lonesome ... Daddy actually came along for the ride! I wanted him to get a taste of what I go through weekly ... Shopping at the COMMISCARY (AKA commissary) that was the least busy I have ever seen that place be ... I guess everyone was at the gym working on their new years resolutions. Haha! Anyways he still said it wasn't that hard taking both of you in there ... Looks like I see a challenge in his near future! :) Another exciting thing is that Presley sat in the shopping cart for the first time! I majorly failed and didn't get a picture but I will be on top of that the next time we go ... Or should I say the next time daddy goes haha!
Then for dinner I did something totally out of the ordinary for me ... I added spinach and more romaine than iceberg lettuce to our dinner! Working on one of my promises to you :) Presley ate yogurt drops for the first time and loved them. She banged on her tray every time she was ready for
More and she said "mmmm" when she wanted more ;) ... Rileys first "real word" was "more" for food haha

Last night out of the blue Riley came down with a fever and felt pretty crummy all night. This morning she is still pretty sick with 102.2 fever ... I just loaded her up with some ibuprofen so we will see if it gets better or if a trip to the doctor is in our future. Presley on the other hand is blabbing away in her exersaucer so I am going to get her some breakfast.
